Alcatraz Island National Historic Landmark

Benicia Capitol State Historic Park
Benicia Capitol State Historic Park is the site of California's third seat of government (1853-54.) It is the only pre-Sacramento capitol that survives. The original building has been restored with reconstructed period furnishings and exhibits. The interior includes a board-for-board reconstruction of the building's original floor with ponderosa pine. The desks, three of which are originals from the Benicia period or earlier, are furnished with a candlestick, a 19th century newspaper, a quill pen and a top hat. Benicia State Recreation Area
Benicia State Recreation Area covers marsh, grassy hillsides and rocky beaches along the narrowest portion of the Carquinez Strait. Cyclists, runners, walkers, equestrians, and roller skaters enjoy the park's 2 � miles of road and bike paths. Picnicking, bird watching and fishing are also attractions. Jelly Belly Factory Tour
Jelly Belly Factory Tour is offered at the Herman Goelitz Candy Co. at 1 Jelly Belly Ln., off N. Watney Way. The company offers 40-minute guided tours of its jelly bean-making facilities. Visitors can see the entire process which includes pouring and curing the jelly centers, coating the centers with a candy shell and polishing and seasoning the jelly beans before they are packaged. Mount Diablo State Park
This park is one of the ecological treasures of the San Francisco Bay Area. Every season in the park has its special qualities. Western Railway Museum
Western Railway Museum, e. on SR 12 to 5848 SR 12, preserves the area's heritage of electric railways, operating vintage streetcars, including Key System trains, California's last 5-cent street car and other equipment.
