For a delicious piece of Placerville history visit John Pearson Soda Works and Fountain Tallman Soda Works. John Pearson is currently an established coffee house, but in it's original day it was transformed from a ice house to a mining shaft, then into a Coca-Cola bottling Franchise. The Fountain Tallman today is a museum, but was once a Soda House. Today both structures are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
