Franks Tract State Recreation Area
Franks Tract State Recreation Area is only accessible by water and is located southeast of Brannan Island between False River and Bethel Island. Franks Tract Flooded in 1936 and again in 1938. Very few land forms remain exposed, with the exception of remnant levees. Call 916-777-6671 for more information.

Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park
Indian Grinding Rock State Historic Park is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills eight miles east of Jackson. The park nestles in a little valley 2,400 feet above sea level with open meadows and large valley oaks that once provided the native Americans of this area with an ample supply of acorns.
