Found in northern California, Susanville is a pleasant city set just off Highway 395, and is in very close proximity to the Lassen National Forest. Once known as Roopville, Susanville is also the seat of Lassen County, and is only 40 minutes from nearby Chester. Guests of the Best Western hotel in Susanville enjoy visits to Susanville Ranch Park for hikes, and excellent nature views. Head south just a few miles along Highway 395, and explore Honey Lake - try some fishing, maybe launch a boat and catch a tan.
